Free Fall – Jacqueline Nash

Free Fall

Taken completely off guard,
the pull is too strong
and she is drawn
into the heart of the vortex.

Swirling, twirling, twisting,
turning around and around,
spinning, gyrating,
spiralling out of control.

She fights for breath,
gasping, unable to breathe,
suffocating.

Then;

there is complete calm,
she gains control,
she breathes.
Relaxed and weightless

she free falls into his arms.
