Sleep – Jacqueline Nash

Sleep

When the day has been so very unkind,
when I find I cannot give or take any more,
all I want is to sink into the arms of the night,
to be wrapped in it’s tender, dark, velvet embrace.
So I surrender to it’s seduction, place myself into it’s care,
when night will kiss me back to life and restore my strength.
